W 2018 roku założył swoja wytwórnie PLAIST, która wydała już cztery płyty. W 2017 roku Christian otrzymał nagrodę SWR Jazzpreis. W 2016 roku Christian odbył ośmiomiesięczną rezydencję w Bazylei w Marktgräfle Hof dzięki Fundacji Stiftung Bartels. Tego samego roku niemiecka stacja telewizyjna 3SAT wyemitowała film dokumentalny o Christianie pt. "Gegen den Beat” w reżyserii Jana Bäumera. W 2014 roku Lilinger założył kwartet Amok Amor z Peterem Evansem na trąbce, Wanją Slavinem na saksofonie i Petterem Eldhem na basie. W 2015 roku zespół wydał debiutancki album o takim samym tytule jak nazwa zespołu w wytwórni Boomslang, a w 2017 roku płytę "Know Not What We Do” nakładem szwajcarskiej wytwórni INTAKT. Między 2012 a 2013 rokiem Christian zasiadał w zarządzie Związku Niemieckich Muzyków Jazzowych (Union Deutscher Jazzmusiker) i otrzymał stypendium na stworzenie kompozycji od władz Berlina. W 2008 Christian założył zespół Grund, dzięki czemu zyskał możliwość wykonywania swoich własnych kompozycji. Do tej pory wydane zostały trzy albumy, dwa w wytwórni Clean Feed (First Reason w 2009, Second Reason w 2012) oraz jeden w wytwórni Pirouet (GROUND w 2015). 19 stycznia 2018 roku Christian wydał album C O R w swojej wytwórni PLAIST. Od 2004 roku jest stałym członkiem EUPHORUM_freakestra czyli zespołu projektowego, którego skład zmienia się co roku. Od 2002 roku Christian współpracuje z Philippem Gropperem i Ronnym Graupem w zespole Hyperactive Kid. Między 2001 a 2003 rokiem Christian Lilinger był aktywnym członkiem BUJAZZO (Niemiecka Federalna Jazzowa Orkiestra Młodzieżowa), której dyrygentem był Peter Herbholzheimer. W 2000 roku, gdy miał jedynie szesnaście lat, Christian został przyjęty do prestiżowej Hochschule fĂźr Musik Carl Maria von Weber w Dreźnie. Do 2004 roku Christian uczył się u GĂźntera Baby Sommera i Michaela Grienera. W 2000 roku otrzymał nagrodę Internationalen Improvisationswettbewerb Leipzig. Do tej pory Christan wsytąpił na ponad 80 nagraniach.

In 2018 he established his own label PLAIST, which has already released four albums. In 2017 Christian was awarded the SWR Jazzpreis. Christian was the artist in residence in the Marktgräfle Hof in Basel for eight months by the Stiftung Bartels Foundation in 2016. The same year the German broadcaster 3SAT released Gegen den Beat, a documentary about Christian directed by Jan Bäumer. In 2014 Christian Lillinger founded the quartet Amok Amor with Peter Evans on trumpet, Wanja Slavin on saxophone and Petter Eldh on bass. The band released their self-titled debut on Boomslang in 2015 and We Know Not What We Do in 2017 on the Swiss label INTAKT. Between 2012 and 2013 Christian sat on the board of the Union for German Jazzmusicians (Union Deutscher Jazzmusiker) and he received a composition scholarship from the City of Berlin. 2008 saw the foundation of Christian Lillinger’s Grund, which allowed him to realise his own composition. So far three albums have been released through the labels Clean Feed (First Reason in 2009 and Second Reason in 2012) as well as Pirouet (GRUND in 2015). On January 19, 2018 Christian released C O R on his own PLAIST label. Since 2004 he has been a fixed member of EUPHORIUM_freakestra, a project ensemble, whose configuration changes every year. Since 2002 Christian has been collaborating closely with Philipp Gropper and Ronny Graupe within the band Hyperactive Kid. Between 2001 and 2003 Christian Lillinger was an active member of the German Federal Youth Jazz Orchestra (BUJAZZO) conducted by Peter Herbholzheimer. In 2000 when he was only sixteen, Christian was admitted to the prestigious Hochschule fĂźr Musik Carl Maria von Weber in Dresden. Christian studied there under GĂźnter Baby Sommer and Michael Griener until 2004. He is 2000 prizewinner of the Internationalen Improvisationswettbewerb Leipzig. To date Christian has been featured on more than 80 recordings.
